Your first lesson is half off!
The first lesson is available at half price to all potential clients with no pressure to commit. This is to ensure there is synergy between the teacher & student.
Communication
Megan is available via text message, phone call, or email Monday through Friday during normal business hours (8am-6pm). All other teaching artists can be contacted via phone or email.
Lessons are scheduled out one month at a time via text or email at your preference. After lessons have been scheduled, I treat that as a commitment. If your schedule changes, please ensure you give your teacher a 48 hour notice to cancel or reschedule.
Scheduling
Payment
Payment is due the day the lesson is given. If payment has not been made by the end of the business day, a late fee of $10 will be charged. Payment can be made via cash, check, or Venmo (@mkyingst).
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation made with less than a 48 hour notice will result in lessons being forfeited and payment will be due. Student or teacher illness resulting in cancellation will be honored and a make-up lesson will be scheduled.
Teacher Tardiness
Due to the nature of in-home lessons and the traffic in the DMV area, teachers can sometimes run late due to unexpected traffic. If they are running behind, they will text you with their estimated time of arrival. The lesson will still be given in full. If the family cannot accommodate the lesson running late, time lost will be made up in a later lesson.
Student Tardiness
If you are running late & cannot meet at the start time of your lesson, please let your teacher know as soon as possible. If there is room in their schedule, your teacher will try to give the student their full lesson. However if time or their schedule does not allow, the lesson will end at its normal time & full payment is expected. If more than half of the lesson is missed, the lesson will be forfeited and payment will still be due.
Termination
If you wish to stop lessons, a one month notice must be given. If you decide to go on a break that is longer than 2 weeks, your lesson time slot may be forfeited.
Referral Program
Please share your experience with Megan’s Marvelous Music with your friends and family! When a new student signs up for their first month of lessons at your referral, you will receive one free lesson to show our appreciation. Don’t forget to tell your friends/family to mention your name when they schedule so you receive credit!
Sibling Discount
A discount of $10 will be given for lessons scheduled back to back for siblings or for students who take 2 lessons back - back.
